Inpatient Meals

There is a multi-choice patient menu for each main meal. Menus for lunch and evening meals are sent out for return with the breakfast trolleys at the start of the day concerned. You will have a choice of portion size for each meal. There is always a vegetarian choice and a selection of meals is available to meet specific dietary or ethnic needs.

All our patient menus are produced by the Catering Management team in conjunction with the Trust's team of Dietitians and Speech Therapists, and all our menus are nutritionally analysed.

Staff will be available to help you eat and drink, if necessary. It should not be necessary for additional food items to be brought in by relatives, unless there are exceptional circumstances. Wards are unable to store or refrigerate additional food and therefore the following items only should be brought in: Fruit, squash or cordials, biscuits, sweets and chocolates.
